FSSA President’s Comments Fall 2019
Hello Florida Sport Shooting Association Members,
Happy October and welcome to the fall season…someone tell Mother Nature that it’s okay to start turning the temperature down! With summer behind us, I hope you had a chance to get out and enjoy some time on the range.
Congratulations to both the FSSA Smallbore Rifle and Precision Pistol Teams! Pistol finished 2nd in the 2018 Postal Match and was awarded a silver pin for each of our ten shooting team members. In the Smallbore Rifle Outdoor Conventional Prone Match, the Florida team also finished 2nd, less than 3 points out of 1st and Gold. Way to go Matthew Sanchez, Randy Hatheway, Alan Sherman and Matthew McHale!
Congratulations to FSSA’s Pistol teams for representing Florida at the NRA National Pistol Championships and FSSA’s High Power team for representing Florida at the CMP High Power Championships. We also had individuals at the NRA Smallbore Rifle Championships, and one of our own Board members, Mary Watkins, at the NRA Silhouette Championships.

Definitely not Florida! Some might argue that the wind was a bit blustery, but it wouldn’t be Perry without it!
